NOTE:
Prospective Trades/Apprentices
You become an apprentice by finding an employer to sponsor you & registering the apprenticeship with the ITA. If you are in high school you can also start your apprenticeship through a youth (ACE-IT) program. Also consider a foundation program as a means of gaining Level 1 experience for most trades (and entering the workplace).

Youth (ACE-Secondary) Training Schedules
There are many opportunities for British Columbians to gain exposure to trades training during high school. Students can obtain high school graduation credits and get a head start towards completion of an apprenticeship program. Programs are provided by our Trades Training BC member institutions. Please see the ITA to read more about Youth Trades Training programs.
