Automotive service technicians inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of cars, light trucks and other light transport equipment. This occupational group also includes mechanical repairers, who do major repairs and replacements of mechanical units on newly assembled motor vehicles.
