In BC, there are many excellent opportunities for both international students and recent immigrants to pursue a career in trades. To get the help you need please contact the institution you are interested in attending directly. Links to their International Students pages are listed below:
The BC Government has a website to help prospective international students work through the process of studying in BC. Note, that while the site is in English, if you are viewing it from France, South Korea, Mexico, China or India it should re-direct to a site that is in that national language.
The Industry Training Authority's (ITA) central number is 1-866-660-6011, or please e-mail immigrantsintrades@itabc.ca. The ITA also maintains a web resource for helping international students at Trades Training Programs For Immigrants.
