Telecommunications Technicians install, maintain and repair telecommunications equipment. The Telecommunications Technician program at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) emphasizes hands-on, practical training with equipment typically encountered in industry.

Requirements:
Applicants must have first completed a provincially-approved Electronics Technician Common Core program --also available at BCIT-- which requires:
Math 11, plus two years of education in English with one of the following:
1) English 12;
2) Communications 12;
3) three credits of post-secondary English, Humanities or Social Sciences.
