Saw Filer Endorsement: Benchperson

< Back to all programs

Benchpersons are responsible for setting up and maintaining various types of band saws that cut and shape wood. They are highly analytical experts who use a hands-on approach to maintain the required cutting standard for band saws.

Benchpersons draw on their organized and mechanical nature to carefully inspect band saws to ensure they are level, straight and properly tensioned. They maintain and align machine centres to ensure that they operate properly.
